Writer’s Statement

             The need for self-expression is surely universal, and our thoughts and feelings are revealed through some avenue.  I choose to do it with words – poetry, short stories, articles, books.  They are my artist’s paints, my sculptor’s clay, my actor’s gestures, my musician’s notes.  Sometimes the process is laborious; other times it comes so easily I forget I’m the one writing!  It’s no mystery, no deep longing or message.  It’s more simplistic for me:  I just love to write!
